Collahuasi mine

Around mid-April 2013 several witnesses saw an unusual phenomenon during several hours, on their workplace, at the Collahuasi mine, north of Chile, located at 4,300 mts height. One of them took several photos but none of them sought to know more. After some time, two of the images were sent to CEFAA by the chief of the crew. He stated that the persons involved were professionals in the field of electricity, electronics, and fluid control. He insisted that they were very down-to-earth people. They described the phenomenon as a flat shiny disc, of about 5 to 10 meters in diameter. At times it could be seen as a disc, or, take the shape of a glowing balloon, but most often it appeared as a silver, static disc. It seemed to the witnesses that it made intelligent moves. The weather conditions were great. The photographs were analyzed by a meteorologist who discarded a possible lenticular cloud.
