I was looking out the window and I guess the colour of the object caught my eye. When I first saw it I thought it was an airplane. I live under a flight path near YVR so seeing aircraft, at high and low altitudes, is very common. I realised it was unusual when I watched it a little longer. It was moving slower than an airplane, assuming it was a similar size, or it was much larger and farther away. Most of the planes I've ever seen have several lights. Some are steady beams and some blink. This object was pulsing just one colour, a red-orange. The pulse was slow, and seemed to range from bright to off. It looked low in the sky, like maybe at "traffic helicopter" height. It was probably very visible if people were below it. I couldn't hear it. I looked away when it was close to going behind a building. My pictures are bad, just an example of colour and location. Credit: MUFON
