I was with my girlfriend at Chichen Itza to see the 'light & sound show' on Friday the 13th of February 2015 between 19:00 and 20:00. It was a clear night and we could see the stars. At approximately 19:15, before the 'light & sound show' began, my girlfriend pointed to a "star" in the sky. My girlfriend and I saw a straight line of white light rapidly changing direction in the night sky. After a few seconds, I realized that it wasn't a star or a plane. My girlfriend agreed that it was "strange" and that it wasn't a star or a plane. It appeared to be quite high above the Cenote Sagrado de Chichen Itza. I took two photos of the 'object' with a digital camera, using the zoom lens and no flash. I regretted not recording a video. After about a minute, the 'object' disappeared. Immediately after the sighting, I continued to take photos of the pyramid at Chichen Itza. As far as I know, this was my first sighting of a 'UFO'. I later discovered that there's a disused aerodrome nearby. However, the 'object' appeared to be larger than a model aircraft and moved and changed direction rapidly in straight lines, both horizontally and vertically, not like any aircraft I've seen before. It was nothing like a shooting star or comet. As far as I know, the lights used in the show are simply projectors used to project images onto solid surfaces.
