On February 19 1996, 20 years old Cem Arat and Mehmet Safak were hiking the Yamanlar mountain located within the Greater Metropolitan Area of Izmir in Turkey. Suddenly ! an unidentified flying object appeared over them hovering in the sky making no noise. Both were stunned and didn't understand what they were seeing and eventually remembered they had brought a camera for souvenir pictures. They were able to captured some pictures before the UFO vanished in a flash. During their December 2001 interview on the Istanbul international UFO Congress they declared this "We have never seen anything like that before" and this "it was definitely nothing built on Earth.
